Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Theta Work Labs LLC does with information when you use bidwitness.com or subscribe to a BidWitness brief. It is written to describe what actually happens, not a generic template.
What we collect

What we do not do
- We set no cookies of our own and run no analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording on this site.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address or trade category.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to operate. Each receives only what it needs:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- FormSubmit — relays the brief request form to our mailbox.
- Zoho Mail — hosts our email.
- GitHub Pages — serves this website.
One third-party request you should know about
The small "public launch record" badge in the footer is an image loaded from websitelaunches.com. Loading it means that server sees your IP address and browser type, as any image request would. If you would rather not, a tracker blocker or your browser's image settings will prevent it, and the rest of the site works normally.
About the permit data itself
BidWitness is built on public building-permit records. We do not obtain private information about homeowners or businesses, and we do not resell records. The analysis, filtering, and trade-gap assessment layered on top of those records is ours.
How long we keep things
Brief request details are kept while you are an active prospect or subscriber and deleted on request. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Email is kept while needed to serve you.
Your choices
Email hello@bidwitness.com and we will, within 30 days: show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from any brief with the link in the email, and cancelling a subscription stops all future billing. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are in California, we do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to our inbox and billing dashboard is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you directly rather than burying it.
Children
BidWitness is a business tool for contractors. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Subscribers get notice by email.
Who is responsible
Theta Work Labs LLC, which operates BidWitness. Questions, requests, or complaints: hello@bidwitness.com. We answer these ourselves, usually same day.
