Refund Policy
This is the short version of what our pricing page promises, written out so there is no ambiguity later.
Your first brief is free
You receive a full brief before any payment. If it is not useful, do nothing — no charge is created and there is nothing to cancel.
Refund within seven days
If a paid month's brief was not relevant to your trade, tell us within seven days of receiving it and we refund that month in full.
- The seven days run from the date that month's brief is sent to you.
- Email hello@bidwitness.com with the subject line "Refund" and the email address on the account. A sentence on what was off is helpful, but not required.
- No interrogation, no form, no retention offer loop.
Cancelling
Cancel any time, in one step, by email or from the link in your Stripe receipt. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for, and that period is not pro-rated — but if that brief missed the mark, the seven-day refund above still applies to it.
When we refund without being asked
- We charged you after you cancelled.
- We billed a duplicate month.
- A metro you paid for turns out to have no genuinely open slots — we will say so and return the money rather than send filler.
- We end your account without cause.
What we do not refund
- A month where the brief was delivered and relevant, but you did not win work. We sell the reading, not the outcome — we cannot refund a market result.
- Requests made more than seven days after that month's brief.
- Accounts closed for reselling or redistributing the brief.
How the money comes back
Refunds go to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. We process on our side within two business days and will confirm by email when it is issued.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong, email us first. A chargeback usually takes longer to resolve than a refund, and we would rather just fix it.
